Every Decisions Come Sacrifices

Oh My God! I am not going to be the guitarist for this year Youth Camp anymore. I thought everything will work out just fine in God's plan but I was wrong. My parents said that I spend too much time on sports that I am not doing my revision. Now, I have to give up my last chance of being a guitarist in God's ministries. When I told them of the rehearsal tomorrow, they begin nagging,"Why aren't you studying" everytime they see me doing other things like checking my e-mail. But I thank God for my caring parents and I thank God that I am still able to go for Youth Camp. Hope that the 'O' level examination can end quickly.

Enough of complaining. 'O' level is just around the corner and everyone seems to be falling sick. Pray for good health to be upon each and everyone of us and that we can complete this last lap of secondary school safely.

I must really try to keep this Bible verse in mind : "Consider it pure joy, my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds because yo know that the testing of your faith develops perserverance. Perserverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

Graduation Day

"You know that many runners enter a race, and only one of them wins the prize. So run to win!" 1 Conrinthians 9:24 (CEV)

After these few months of hardwork, tomorrow is our Graduation Day. We are less than 3 weeks to the 'O' level. Nervous yea. Its time to give everything we got for the last lap of our secondary life.

Haze Hazard

Haiz, haven't been able to log into blogger. It almost gave me the thought that it might be because of the haze. Hahas.

Well, 'O' level is coming. 3 more days to Graduation. 4 more days to 'O' level Combined Science Practical. Its nice to hear that we are finally graduating but we still have to go back to school almost everyday for English. Knowing that our time have mostly been 'booked' teachers always complaint of us spending too much time on a particular subjects. Eg. English saying Mathematics, Mathematics saying Chemistry...

There is also the recent outbreak of gastric flu. Not sure how harmful it is but more than HUNDREDS of students had gotten it. Must pray for good health for everyone.

'O' Level Is Just Around The Corner

'O' level is approaching, but try to relax a bit. Don't overwork yourselves.

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast. He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the awful storms that raged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops.

As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received A steady stream of refusals. Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached the farmer. "Are you a good farm hand?" the farmer asked him. "Well, I can sleep when the wind blows," answered the little man. Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man's work.

Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore. Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hired hand's sleeping quarters. He shook the little man and yelled, "Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!" The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, "No sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows."

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm. To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred. The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down. Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while the wind blew.

When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically, you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life? The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he had secured the farm against the storm. We secure ourselves against the storms of life by grounding ourselves in the Word of God. We don't need to understand, we just need to hold His hand to have peace in the middle of storms. A friend of mine sent this to me, and I enjoyed it very much. I hope you enjoy your day and you sleep well. God Bless You :)

Destress.. Haha

Today we had almost 5hrs of Maths lesson. Super tiring. Must prepare for 'O' level, what to do. I decided to change my blog while taking a break from all those studying. I think we should really not neglect those details of our life like excercising, reading the BIBLE, spending time with family and of course, GOD. Often, we will get so carried away with our studies and homework that we will tend to slowly forget to do all these. Try recalling when is the last time you spend even a few minutes reading the BIBLE.

You might not have notice. But many a times, it is these activities in our life that help us to destress. This way, you will find that you will be able to concentrate better. Try it :)

Do pray for wisdom for the Youth Camp committee and GOD's giving in the number of campers.

Take care everyone.
