What To Do

I do not know if it is that I do not understand or is it that I was being narrow-minded. Earlier this month, my class had a remedial at around 0800. However, because ONE class-mate could not make it so the time was push back. At first I did not have any problem with the change of time-slot. The problem occurs today. When the class was inform that this coming Saturday got remedial at the same late time-slot, I told the teacher that Benedict and I got a Founder's Man Award Ceremony rehearsal, the teacher told me to show a document as evident. It makes me think that the teacher did not trust me nor Benedict and I was very, very, very, very annoyed. Haiz

So, I decide to approach the teacher during recess time to talk about the lesson. During the conversation, I initially wanted to ask if it is possible to push the lesson early for the TWO of us. But come to think of, we must not so selfish as to think of ourselves just because for our 'O' level and I also believe that half the class might also have their remedial. But when I decided to ask the teacher because I noted that majority of the class wanted to have the lesson earlier. However, before I could ask, the teacher once again said that ONE of our classmates got outside remedial and will be missing the lesson. Then it comes strongly to me that Benedict and I didnt need the lesson at all. Angry

I must say, I am sorry that I judged my teacher of being biased. Teachers must have their own difficulties but might not be willing to tell us and that I might have mistaken the teacher in the judgement in continuing to having the lesson at the late time-slot. I remember that I read from a health magazine that humans will be able to better absorb new things learn early in the morning. And the BIBLE also say: Do not judge others for you will be judge.

I sincerely apologise to my teacher.

Thinking of 'I Am More Blessed'

Those who know me will know that I was banned from going to service. Often, I envy brothers and sisters who can attend service. From this point of view, they are more blessed than me. However, from what I see, they do not seems to know how blessed they are in this sense. They rather stay at home to sleep, play maple game and go out with their spouses. I guess to them, doing all these are consider to be more blessed then going service to worship GOD.

Recently, a brother of mine was also banned from all christian activities by his parents. Before the 'banned' you can see him very active in service and GOD's ministries and now, all these curfew. I know that through trials, we will grow but it often appears to me that those who are very active in GOD's ministries will face more persecutions.

All in all, I just want to say that those who face persecutions can also see themselves as more blessed than others. Think about it, with all these persecutions, it goes to show that GOD is working more active working in your life, trying to bloom you to become a better christian (You are more blessed). With all the persecution that you had faced in life, you will be able to share more of your own testimonies to new christians and also, to fulfill the Great Commision to make disciple of all people (You are more blessed).

So, dear brothers and sisters who are facing persecution, remember to constantly think that you are more blessed than others in many ways and to be faithful to GOD so that HE will be able to use you to be a living testimony to the world.

The blessing from GOD is the greatest blessing.

In My Leisure

Last Saturday, I went for a game of Laser Quest at Bukit Gombak with the BB and GB. We all had our part of fun and some was even injured. Many of us might have known that the combat zone of Laser Quest is really dark and the only source of light are the luminous painted walls. Unfortunately, there is this particular wall that is completely black and it so happen that a few of them knock into it. The serious case, he hurt his pinky finger and it bleed. For those who are 'better off', they got injured marks on their limbs. Thank GOD that everyone went home safely

Recently, I came to know of a very interesting game on Singapore's stock market but with the use of virtual money. Do go and try it, you might never know what you might be working as in future so just make full use of the opportunities.

I Lost My Cool

Very interesting indeed. I always tell my friends that when they come upon people who they dislike, try to flee from them or else, pray to GOD. Sad to say, me myself did not manage to achieve what I tell others.

There is this person who I could not get along well since the beginning of last year. But after talking to fellow brothers and sisters, I managed to subdue my hatred and to put GOD as my first in my thoughts. Everything went well so I did not do anything foolish until today. I actually vent my anger and hatred out and almost scolded forbidden words. Thank GOD I did not.

As many of my brothers and sisters may know, I had not been able to attend service since last September. This means that I can hardly meet fellow christians face to face. To make matters worse, now that the CCA for me has cease, it makes it harder for me to meet up with them.

Thank GOD, after today incident, I was reminded of a Bible verse in the book of James 1:2 'Consider it pure joy my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of the faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.'

I hope this Bible verse will be able to benefits others who faces similar situation in life and that others too can give me their comments. Remember, your brothers, sister and GOD will always be there for you. GOD BLESS

Parable of A Gift of Love

"Can I see my baby?" the happy new mother asked. when the bundle was nestled in her arms and she moved the fold of cloth to look upon his tiny face, she gasped. The doctor turned quickly and looked out the tall hospital window. The baby had been borned without ears. Time proved that the baby's hearing was perfect. It was only his appearance that was marred. When he rushed home from school one day and flung himself into his mother's arms, she sighed, knowing that his life was to be a succession of heartbreaks.

He blurted out the tragedy, "A boy, a big boy...called me a freak!" He grew up, handsome for his misfortune. A favourite with his fellow students. He might have been class president, but for that. He developed a gift, a talent for literature and music. "But you might mingle with other young people," his mother reproved him, but felt a kindness in her heart.

The boy's father had a session with the family physician. Could nothing be done? "I believe I could graft on a pair of outer ears, if they could be procured," the doctor decided. Where upon the search began for a person who would make such a sacrifice for a young man. Two years went by. Then,"You are going to the hospital, son. Mother and I have someone who will donate the ears you need. But its a secret," said the father.

The operation was a brilliant success and a new person emerged. His talent blossom into genius and school and college became a series of triumphs. Later he married and entered the diplomatic service. "But I must know!" He urged his father. "Who gave so much for me? I could never do enough for him."

"I do not believe you could," said the father, "but the agreement was that you are not to know...not yet." The years kept their profound secret, but the day had come... one of the darkest days that ever pass through a son. Her stood with his father over his mother's casket. Slowly, tenderly, the father stretched forth a hand and raised the thick, reddish-brown hair to reveal... that mother had no outer ears.

"Mother said she was glad she never let her hair be cut," he whispered gently, "nobody ever thought mother less beautiful, did they?"

Real beauty lies not in the physical appearance, but in the heart. Real treasure lies not in what that can be seen, but what that cannot be seen. Real love lies not in what is done and known, but in what that is done but not known.

So dear brothers and sisters, do not keep thinking that you are not love by anybody else other than your families members. You might have a secret admirer or had been love but you are not sensitive enough to sense it. Just a REMINDER. Do not be too attracted into all these love and neglecting GOD's Love.

The Parable of The Pencil (Part 2)

Here is another story about pencil. When USA wanted to send their first astronaut to space, they were trying to come up with a pen which the astronaut can write with (without gravity). At around the same time, the Russia was also preparing to send their astronaut into space and were also troubled by the problem of the astronaut writing materials.

A pen will not work because gravity is needed to push the ink. Finally, after 3 long months, both countries manage to come up with the 'perfect' pen to be use in space. Together, the USA and Russia held a conference to talk about both countries preparation and they talked on the topic about pen.

Proud of their new invention which costs more than 3 millons US dollars, they showed the Russia 'The Pen Suitable for Space'. Next, a Russian minister went up the stage and presented their writing material to be use in space, the PENCIL. The Amerians were very taken aback. After a few rounds of demonstration, it is indeed true that the pencil is usable in space.

This goes to show that sometimes the simplest creation is usable in many situation, all that it matters is us.

The Parable of The Pencil (Part 1)

Once there was a pencil-maker. Before he put the pencils into the box, he would tell the pencils these things:

1) Let the owner hold onto you so that you can be use.
2) Although the sharpening process can be very painful, it will make you to be a better pencil.
3) On everything that you write on, make sure you leave your marks on it.

After telling the pencils these, he would place them in boxes and have them shipped out. There was one particular pencil that landed on the ownership of a high ranking soldier. The soldier was in a war and he was asked by his general to go fly across the enemy territory to have a map drawn out. However, this troubled the soldier very much. Looking at his table full of pens, he could not decide as to which to be use for this mission. The fountain pen will leak, the pen cannot be erase and another pen easily ran out of ink.

Finally, he decided to bring a pencil with him. The pencil ink can be erase and it can be sharpened when it become blunt. With the help of the soldier's map and of course the pencil, the nation finally defeated its enemy.

All of us are like the pencil. We need to be nurture in school so that we can do big things in future and even leave our marks on HISTORY.
