Still Hesitating???

Aiyoyo, Youth Camp '06 registration closing soon yet most of them still cannot make up their mind. Do pray that they will hesitate no more and join us in the fun in Youth Camp.

After giving some serious thoughts, I have come up with 2 types of people in their participation in different activities. The first group of teenagers are people who had since, become very dependent on their friends, including myself. When people ask if you are interested in going for a activities, the first reaction will usually be,"See first", when in actual fact, they wanted to see if their friends are going for it before they make up their minds. Take for example, if this is what the adults are doing, the world's economy will begin to slow down because nobody dares to do anything first before other people does.

The second group of teenagers are people who needs alot of guarantee before they can make their decisions. This is good that teenagers are cautious in the decision they make so that they will not regret in the future. However, this will become a problem if the amount of assurance they need is too much that nobody can guarantee. For example, a group of friends come together wanting to plan for a overseas trip. Everything had been planned out nicely then a friend gave a question,"Is it safe to go... Will we come back safely?" This will demoralise the moral of the planning committee. The same goes for any camps when the number of participate is way below the expected number.

All in all, what I want to say is that, follow your heart. If you want to go, just go. You need not worry about your friends in this 2 groups because eventually, they will join you. Just trust in GOD on it and go with it.

REMEMBER : Alone, you can move fast because you can make decision very quickly. In a team, you can move far because all of you will be cautious in every move you all make. Just bear in mind not to be too overly dependent in any of which.

Make up your mind??? Go to the LORD in prayers :)

Finally

Hooray, prelims are finally over. Got back my science results today. My physics all very good but my chemistry really need to put in a lot of effort. Tomorrow is E-learning day so need not go to school. Isn't it Co0l.

Thank GOD that Jonathan and company came back from Cambodia safely. Gone for a week, hope that they will find the trip meaningful. For the BB inter-companies Basketball competition, our company clinched the 1st and 3rd position. They also received the challenge trophy. So happy for them.

No need to go to school or for parade had been a problem to me. Hahas. I always end up not knowing what to do. Take today for example. Knowing that there is no school for us tomorrow, Justin, Anthony, Leroy and I spent almost 4 hours playing badminton. Although it was tiring, I think it was a good way to destress right after exam.

Lastly, Youth Camp registration is closing soon (30th September). I only receive 1 consent form so far but I hope and believe that more is to come in the following week. Hope to see all of you in this year Youth Camp.

The King & 4 Wives

Once upon a time there was a rich King who had four wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best.

He also loved the 3rd wife very much and was always showing her off to neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another.

He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confident and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her, and she would help him get through the difficult times.

The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife. Although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her!

One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short. He thought of his luxurious life and wondered, "I now have four wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone." Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I have loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!", replied the 4th wife, and she walked away without another word. Her answer cut like a sharp knife right into his heart.

The sad King then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!", replied the 3rd wife. "Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to remarry!" His heart sank and turned cold.

He then asked the 2nd wife, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!", replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave." Her answer struck him like a bolt of lightning, and the King was devastated.

Then a voice called out: "I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The King looked up, and there was his first wife. She was very skinny as she suffered from malnutrition and neglect. Greatly grieved, the King said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!"

In truth, we all have the 4 wives in our lives: Our 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it will leave us when we die.

Our 3rd wife is our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, it will all go to others.

Our 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

And our 1st wife is our Soul . Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world. However, our Soul is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of us that will follow us to the throne of God and continue with us throughout Eternity.

Thought for the day: Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray.

Marking 3/4 of The Year, 3/4 Mile Parade

Last Saturday was 3/4 mile parade and we all had lots of fun. Although I went late due to my remedial lesson, I could still feel that I was at the parade all along. We watch the movie, Poseidon at the Ava Room and we were then called out by Mr See to be stations master. Luckily, I brought along my camera and I managed to take quite a number of pictures.

When the race was done, the first 4 teams had another round of games to complete and Thaddeus group came in first. The prize was very attractive and it was a waste that I did not take part or the winner might very well be me. Hehe.

After which, we had the BBQ. And since Teachers' Day was just the day before, we decided to prepare some token of appreciations and a cake for our mentors, Mr Jonathan, Ken, Dennis and Qiu Song. I believe everyone enjoyed themselves.

Hope to see more boys and girls taking part in the BB and GB events.
