Congrats to All

I had been busy preparing for 'O' level prelim that I could not find much time to blog. There are altogether 3 pieces of good news.
BB : Founders Man & Gold Honour Roll Award for the school.
GB : Pioneer Brigadier Brooch.
Mr Sulaiman got the President Award for Teachers (PAT)

September holidays are coming and so is 3/4 mile parade. Thank GOD that despite the limited number of manpower, the Platoon 20 boys managed to get the parade planned out rather smoothly. This year September holidays might very well be one of the most torturing holidays that I will have because right after it is my Prelim and it will be a benchmark for my 'O' level result. Stress !!!

The Correct Objective

Today, I heard from Bro Jason that his classmates will be joining the Youth Camp. I was initially happy to hear this, but after some consideration, I am not so sure. Over the years, many Brothers and Sisters had came to know the LORD but have they sustained. Many a times, I just think of bringing all my friends to the LORD but now that a Brother is doing the same thing, I begin to wander. We are trying our best to fulfill the Great Commission but are we doing it with the correct objective. Guess I am not sure about it.

I thank GOD for today, that I succeeded in convincing my father to allow me to go for Youth Camp and that Anthony will also be going for Youth Camp. Hope to see more Brothers and Sisters coming to know CHRIST as their personal LORD and SAVIOUR.

Do feel free to voice your comments to share your views as well as to give me some of your own opinion. GOD BLESS

Heading For The Next Phrase Of Life

Today is BB Annual Awards Ceremony. At the ceremony, I, together with Benedict, Wei Kian, Jin Jie and Kee Tee received our Founder's Badge. It was indeed a very tiring day but thank GOD, everything went smoothly.

We reached Singapore Poly (SP) at around 0920, preparing for the inspection and a final rehearsal. Because of a last minute drop out of some cadets, our responsibilities for the ceremony also changed. Benedict and I ended up in the Guard-Of-Honour Contingent (GOH) while the other three went to do 'sai kang' or what Mr Alex Wong say, 'important task'. At first, I was worried that the procedure for the GOH contingent will be very long but thank GOD, it was just doing some stationary drills and then march off.

We had our lunch and was waiting for further instructions. We gathered at the convention centre, ready to receive our badge. Thankfully, my brigade company is only 13, so I was one of the first 50 founder's man to receive the badge. When the badge was put onto my arm, there was this great sense of acheivement. I am proud to be a founder's man.

In the GOH contingent, we waited for the arrival of the Guest-Of-Honour, Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister of State, Minister of Education and Minister of Manpower. The sun was very bright in the beginning and I saw that a few Founder's man around might soon fall out if the sun continued to shine. Then, it was as though GOD heard me thinking of this, the sun was all of a sudden blocked and there was wind blowing. Through out the whole thing, no one fall out and I really thank GOD for it.

We re-enter the convention centre to attend the ceremony for schools award. My school was awards the JM Fraser GOLD Award and I was really glad that the Boys' Brigade in my school has strive hard to maintain its standard and of course, the advancement of CHRIST's Kingdom. It was too bad that our principle was not able to attend the awards ceremony to receive the award.

While waiting to go home from SP, Mr Tan received news of the bus picking us up broke down and the other bus will come only 20 minutes after we already waited for 30 mintues. But I believed, this was GOD's Will. During this period of time, the seniors interacted with the younger cadets and from it, I believed the bonds between us was strengthen and we were able to communicate better.

Now I have to prepare for the next milestone: 'O' Level.

At least, I've tried

Today, I received a copy of the Youth Camp '06 consent form from Brother Dennis. I had receive the soft copy form Brother Benedict last Saturday but my printer had no ink.

I missed last year Youth Camp. The objection of me going to Youth Camp came rather last minute that it was like last than 1 month away from the camp, with the money and consent form submitted long ago. The impact was rather huge to me. I guess I was more of because I was too impatient then that of me being 'officially' part of GOD's big family. Anyway, now that I had the consent in hand, I just pray that I do not do any 'foolish' actions which will cause me my chance to go for this year Youth Camp.

In my first Youth Camp, I was brought into the LORD's big family by Brother Ken. It really gave me the encouragement that I should also do my part in fulfilling the Great Commission which is, to make disciple of all people. But firstly, I must try to get my parents approval to go for this year Youth Camp. I know that there are other areas which I can use to spread GOD's words, I do not want to miss out any opportunities to do so.

Like one of the saying: You will never know until you try. I will try to ask my parents for permisson to go. But even if I fail, at least I know that I have try. It is definitely better than sitting around, not doing anything about it.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, do pray for me that I will be able to stand firm in GOD and for all of us to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and also, to do our part in the Great Commission. God Bless

What A Close Shave

Today had been a very tiring day. I have been busy since morning till night. I woke up quite early to do the final touch up on my uniform before bringing it to school to take my E.maths class test. It was really marvelleous of how GOD had really make things possible. The paper which was suppose to be in 2 hours, I manage to finish it in 1 hour and I still have sufficent time to check the paper which I think GOD had really help me to better manage my time.

Then, Benedict and I went to change into our ceremonial dress for today awards ceremony. Thankfully not much effort is needed to book a taxi. As Wei Kian and Jin Jie was leaving the school to look for a cab, a cab came in sight and it was already in the school when Benedict and I were ready. On our journey to Singapore Poly, an accident almost took place. Everybody knows that most of the expressway (or all, I am not sure) got four lanes. We were on the third lane and there is this van on the second lane. Not sure what had gotten into the driver's mind or he thinks that he owned the road, he cut into our lane when both vehicles were like side by side to each other. Thank GOD, our driver manage to brake in time or both vehicles would have kiss each other. Lolx.

We finally reach SP. I am not sure if it was because I did not eat my lunch and went for the parade. I was feeling unwell when the inspection of the uniform was being carried out. But really want to thank GOD, for the next 5 hours, everything went on smoothly.

GOD will walk with you in everyday of your life. But, in times of crisis. HE will carry you through.

Since yesterday I have not been feeling very well. I had a sore throat and a flu. There seems to be virus spreading around the school. After yesterday after school lesson, a few of my friends also fell ill. Everyone just has to be more conscious of their personal hygenies to prevent others from catching the virus especially those in the graduating classes. Take Care
